Farrukhabad Gharana

Tabla

Established by Ustad Haji Vilayat Khan, the Farrukhabad tabla gharana blends compositions from Delhi and purab lineages. Its playing emphasises clear, balanced strokes on both drums and a repertoire of gat, tukra, rela and chalan compositions, without a strong kathak influence.
