Debanjan Bhattacharjee is a sarod soloist in Indian classical music from Kolkata, known for his authentic style of solo performance. Besides solo concerts, he has collaborated with many international musicians, done significant music arrangements, and played the sarod for the background music of films and for theme music for Durga Puja committees in Kolkata. He has gained recognition for his initiative 'Dhrupad Sarod', in which he presents dhrupad, the oldest form of Indian classical music, on the sarod with only pakhawaj accompaniment - a format rarely heard on the instrument.
