Gauri Pathare is an Indian classical vocalist whose khayal presentation blends the Jaipur, Gwalior and Kirana gharanas. She trained initially under Gangadharbuwa Pimpalkhare of the Kirana gharana, and then for several years with the late Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki and Pandita Padmatai Talwalkar. Since 2010 she has been receiving Jaipur gharana training from Pt. Arun Dravid. From these gurus she has absorbed the nuances of the three gharanas, and she aims to retain the emotional quality of each raag while blending their gayaki. Her honours include the Smt. Kesarbai Kerkar scholarship conferred by the NCPA in 2000-2001, the Surmani Puraskar in 2006, the Pt. Ramkrishnabuwa Vaze Yuwa Gayak Puraskar in 2007, the "Swara-Bhaskar" Puraskar instituted in memory of the late Pt. Bhimsen Joshi for 2012-13, and the Aditya Vikram Birla "Kala Kiran Puraskar" for 2013. She has performed at major festivals in India including the Sawai Gandharva Mahotsav, Tansen festival, Chandigadh Sangeet Sammelan, Kesarbai Kerkar Sammelan and Kumar Gandharva Sangeet Sammelan, and frequently abroad in the UK, France, Switzerland, the USA, Australia, Canada, Dubai and Singapore. Universal Records, Mystica Music Co. and other companies have released her audio CDs, and her album 'Tribute' was nominated for the GIMA awards.
