Kaushar Haji is a classical vocalist of the Jaipur Atrauli gharana and a disciple of Vid. Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande. Born into a family of classical musicians, she took to music from a very young age; as she puts it, 'even my lullabies were different ragas'. Her first guru was her father, Anwar Haji. After completing her graduation (Sangeet Visharad) from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai, she went on to advanced training with Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande. She has given numerous performances across India and continues her commitment to the pure, traditional form of Hindustani classical music.
