Rashmi Paradkar-Sule is a classical vocalist whose gayaki draws on the Gwalior, Agra and Jaipur gharanas. She has learned from her mother, Smt. Shubhada Paradkar, a vocalist of the Gwalior and Agra gharanas, and received guidance from Vid. Padmavti Shaligram-Gokhale (Jaipur gharana). She also took taleem for a few years from Pt. Babanrao Haldankar of the Agra gharana, and from Pt. Dinkar Panshikar of the Jaipur gharana; her gayaki therefore shows traces of the authentic laykari of Gwalior-Agra and the disciplined intellect of Jaipur. She holds the 'Sangeet Alankar' from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, completed a diploma in light music under music director Pt. Yashwant Deo, and has a master's degree in Economics from Mumbai University. A graded artist of All India Radio (AIR), she gives classical and light music performances in India and abroad, at venues including Karnatak Sangh and Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan (Mumbai) and the Balgandharav Sangeet Mahotsav (Jalgaon). She has won national-level classical singing competitions held by Mahatma Gandhi Seva Mandir (Mumbai) and Panvel Cultural Center (Panvel). She also performs in Marathi musicals, with starring roles in plays such as 'Sangeet Saubhadra', 'Sangeet Jai Jai Gaurishankar' and 'Sangeet He Bandh Reshamache'. She accompanies her mother on tanpura and vocal support, touring India and abroad, including Dubai, Bangkok and the US, and teaches students at her home.
