The late Pt. Yashwantbuwa Joshi (1928-2012) was a vocalist of the Gwalior Gharana. He received intensive training from Pt. Mirashibuwa, and later in Mumbai took guidance from Pt. Jagannathbuwa Purohit, popularly known as "Gunidas", an Agra Gharana guru. He added new dimensions to his style by blending the Gwalior and Agra gayakis, and also took vocal guidance from the late Chhota Gandharva. He trained a large number of disciples and received many awards for his contribution to Indian classical music.
